Kelle Delano is one of three trauma therapists who work with children at the Southwest Family Advocacy Center. She enjoys working with a great team of people who collaborate with each other to build a strong case. She encourages parents to establish meaningful relationships with their children so they feel comfortable coming and talking to them about issues.

Detective Dena Bango Buckeye Police Department Dena Bango has been a detective with the Buckeye Police Department for 13 years. She chooses to work on child crime cases because she feels she can make a difference. Det. Bango's words of encouragement are, "You are not alone and there are people out there willing to fight for you and help you heal."

Emily Belcher has been a Forensic Nurse Examiner for 6 years and works for Honor Health. Emily enjoys working with CAC because they provide collaboration and resources for clients. She wants victims to know that she is here to provide safe and compassionate care during the exam.

Detective Tamela Skaggs Buckeye Police Department Special Victims Unit Det. Skaggs has been with the Buckeye Police Department for 17 years and is assigned to the Special Victims Unit investigating crimes against children. Det. Skaggs believes she can be the "voice" for children when it comes to investigating these types of cases.

About this Event We are back and this year, we are bringing the God of Thunder along for the fun! Participants have two choices this year; attend this event or run it virtually! You have the option of packet pick up during the event or have it mailed to you. Two options:Individual or as a team. Teams must have FIVE members for initial sign up to get the group rates. You can create a team name and send out invites to fill it out. The record for a team is 43. Just select GROUP MEMBER after hitting the ticket button. PAYMENT OPTIONS: You will redirect to PAYPAL. On that page there is a gray button to use your OWN credit card if you do not have PAYPAL. Two laps around the smooth, flat track at Victory Lane Sport Park is the course, live music, members of our Cause Play team portray the many versions of Thor. Deadpool Cameo, the Avengers, Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Flash, and many more line the course to cheer you on. As we lost our sponsor, we cannot offer chipped bibs for timing this year. Run as a team! Dress the part! Weild Thor hammers, wear capes, take photos, and enjoy a beautiful spring day in Arizona! Those who signed up for the 2nd annual event and did not get your t-shirt or medal, let us know and we will check your name off the list and have your medal and shirt at the registration table (while supplies last). COVID PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE. We offer staggered start spots on the track and staggered start times! There is only capped bottled water on the course. No open containers. At the finish line, a masked and gloved volunteer will hand your medal to you or have THOR, the God of Thunder himself (in safety mask and gloves) hang it around your neck. Or, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Batman, Deadpool. We have a nice variety. Parking is plentiful. Park at Six Flags and walk to Victory Lanes just down the road, park in the Victory Lanes lot, car pool, bus, catch a ride with Superman, drive in the Batmobile. Let's come together for a great cause. This event has generated more than $10,000 for the Southwest Family Advocacy Center the last two years allowing them to purchase desperately needed supplies, send their staff to critical trainings, and empower countless children to recovery.

Samantha White, LPC, RPT - Clinical Supervisor Child Trauma Counseling Services Samantha's role is to provide counseling and therapy services to children and their families who come to the Southwest Family Advocacy Center. By helping these young victims through the healing process and providing them the best services she can, children become stronger and more resilient, learning healthy coping skills that last a lifetime.
